Michael believes in taking a case-by-case approach to everyone and every issue that he sees. Michael will do all he can to help you and your loved ones enhance insight, awareness, and active solutions for a better life through holistic counseling and collaboration. About Michael

Michael “Mike” Baker has been affiliated with, around, and practicing within the field of Counseling for over 20 years.  He is the owner/operator of Baker Therapeutic Services, LLC, co-owner and co-founder of Five Forks Counseling Group, LLP, the Clinical Director for Wellness Partners Group, LLC, the former Clinical Consultant for Safety Net Recovery – Greenville, SC location, and the National Clinical Consultant for Youturn Health, LLC. 

Michael has extensive experience in working with adolescents, emerging/young adults, substance abuse/substance use disorders, trauma, dual diagnosis, gender-specific issues (particularly pertaining to men), high-conflict families, eating disorders, LGBTQ+ populations, depression, anxiety, supervised visitation services, clinical consultation, and marketing/business development.

Michael is dedicated to helping to eliminate the sometimes crippling stigma associated with seeking therapeutic services, particularly regarding substance abuse/substance use disorders and survival of trauma. These stigmas are especially strong in men, who from a young age have been conditioned to need nothing, show no fear, and keep moving forward regardless of the internal struggles and processes we all face.  As a former collegiate athlete, he can connect on this level as well.

Fees & Insurance

  • Michael is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and is an EAP provider for ScanSource. His current self-pay rate ranges from $100-$150.
